I’m honored to share our latest Member Spotlight interview with Rita Kluny, RN, BSN, MDiv, HTCP, BC-HN emeritus—a Healing Touch practitioner, educator, author, and pioneer whose work has transformed the way Healing Touch is used with babies, families, and the perinatal population.

Drawing from more than three decades of teaching and clinical experience, Rita developed Healing Touch for Babies through her work in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU). Her passion for supporting babies and families has led her to explore the profound impact of the prenatal period, the importance of early connection, and the role Healing Touch can play in nurturing healthy beginnings. In this heartfelt and inspiring conversation, Rita shares the experiences, insights, and vision that continue to guide her work.

Rita's perspective is a beautiful reminder that healing begins long before birth and that compassionate, heart-centered care has the power to support not only babies and families, but future generations as well.

In this interview, you'll learn:

What led Rita to discover Healing Touch and begin her Healing Touch journey

How learning directly from Janet Mentgen shaped her practice and career

What inspired Rita to develop Healing Touch for Babies and her vision for integrating Healing Touch into perinatal care

The inspiration behind her book, Your Baby Remembers, and why the prenatal period is so important

The meaning of "The Remembrance" and how reconnecting with our true nature supports healing

One of Rita's favorite healing stories and what it taught her

How Healing Touch has transformed her personally and the challenges she's overcome along the way

This conversation offers heartfelt inspiration, practical insight, and encouragement for practitioners interested in supporting babies, families, and the healing journey from the very beginning.
