Meet our Member JoAnne!
JoAnne is a board-certified holistic nurse with over 20 years of diverse experience in healthcare and state government. Her passion for empowering others to realize their healing potential led her to become a Healing Touch Certified Practitioner and Instructor. Her nursing career spans clinical and administrative roles in long-term care, rehabilitation, and hospital-based complementary and integrative medicine. She served as Director of a Complementary and Integrative Hospital Program, where she developed and led initiatives to bring holistic therapies into conventional medical settings. JoAnne also worked at the New York State Department of Health in the Office of the Medicaid Inspector General, conducting medical record audits related to fraud, waste, and abuse. Her work in risk management and quality assurance further reflects her commitment to patient safety, compliance, and healthcare excellence.
Currently, JoAnne is the Integrative Care Program Manager for the Healing Touch Program, where she supports community members who wish to integrate Healing Touch into clinical environments. She also oversees integrative therapies in a hospital outpatient oncology clinic and maintains a small Healing Touch practice.
In addition to her clinical and leadership work, JoAnne contributes to Healing Touch Program’s ANCC accreditation efforts and serves on the Curriculum Review Board. She is a board member of the Healing Touch Worldwide Foundation and teaches Healing Touch at the University of Cincinnati Osher Center and presents at the Annual American Holistic Nurses Association Conference. JoAnne loves educating others on Healing Touch and finds joy in witnessing the transformation that occurs when others awaken to their own healing potential through Healing Touch.
