The Expand Your Network: Exploring Self-Care Modalities series provides Healing Touch Instructors and Certified Practitioners with the opportunity to share self-care modalities they are skilled in or knowledgeable about with our community.

This program is designed to inspire members to explore self-care practices for personal well-being or client referrals. It is also a valuable resource for Healing Touch Practitioner Apprentices working on their Level 5 Growth Work, particularly the self-care modalities requirement.

In this episode, Gaby Schlumpberger & Sarah Sherbenou present: Shadow Work – Exploring the Hidden Self

In this 45-minute presentation, you will learn:

  • What Is Shadow Work? Gain insight into Carl Jung’s theory of the shadow and explore how subconscious patterns, emotions, and past experiences shape your present reality.
  • Recognizing Your Shadows: Discover how to identify hidden aspects of yourself that influence behaviors, emotional triggers, and repetitive patterns in your life.
  • Transforming Your Relationship with Your Shadow: Learn how to integrate and accept all parts of yourself, rather than suppressing or avoiding them.
  • Practical Tools for Shadow Work: Experience techniques like the I am... and I love it method, the Upana Mudra, and 4-7-8 Breathing to release emotional blockages, increase self-awareness, and reclaim energy from hidden patterns.
  • The Impact of Unresolved Shadows: Understand how ignored or suppressed emotions manifest in daily life, influencing relationships, habits, and overall well-being.
  • Guided Shadow Work Exercise: Follow along with Gaby in a powerful guided practice to help integrate shadow aspects, fostering emotional balance and self-acceptance.

Shadow work is a transformative self-care practice that allows you to deepen your self-awareness, heal unresolved emotional wounds, and cultivate a more authentic and empowered version of yourself.
