Diamond Technique - Sr. Rita Jean DuBrey, CSJ, RN, MSN, HTCP/I
The purpose of the Diamond Technique is two-fold:
1) To address immune system disturbances
2) To support and maintain the health of the immune system for our clients
The Diamond Technique is used in treating clients with cancer; polymyositis; Lymes disease; mononucleosis; rheumatoid arthritis; lupus, fibromyalgia and flu symptoms, although this technique could be used for clients with any immune system disorder.
Self Mind Clearing - Dr. Penny Burdick
Self Mind Clearing is a technique developed for the self-administration of Mind Clearing. Mind Clearing originated from a technique of Rosalyn Bruyere’s called Brain Balancing. This is a light touch technique that balances the energy flow within the brain and promotes relaxation and peacefulness. It is useful for focusing and quieting the mind and to clear stress-related headaches.
Educator Bios:
Sr. Rita Jean, a Sister of St. Joseph of Carondelet, is Director of the Center for Complementary Therapies at St. Mary’s Healthcare in Amsterdam, NY. She is a Clinical Nursing Specialist, a Credentialed Alcoholism & Substance Abuse Counselor (2008-2012), an accredited T’ai Chi Chih® Teacher, and has been involved in the ministry of wellness for over thirty years. Sr. Rita Jean has authored numerous publications. In December, 2006, her research study was published in Counselor, “The Role of Healing touch in the Treatment of Persons in Recovery from Alcoholism”. Another article, “Energetic Patterns Found in Persons in Recovery from Alcoholism”, was published in Energy Magazine, in October 2008.
Penny Burdick, MD, is a Healing Touch Certified Practitioner and Instructor in Sequim, a small community on the north Olympic Peninsula of Washington state. She worked for 32 years as a holistic family physician before retiring in 2011 to devote her time to completing her Healing Touch education and starting a private Healing Touch practice.
